At Font Fest, we’re making every effort to ensure the competition is accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone. Here’s how we’re tailoring the experience:

Category-Specific Blocs

  • Junior and Para categories will feature blocs specifically designed with the needs of those groups in mind.
  • All Para category blocs will include downclimbs to the ground for added accessibility.
  • Beginner category blocs will be set at a level that allows newer climbers and those new to competitions to enjoy the day while still finding a few challenging blocs (it is a competition, after all!).

New to Competitions?

No Problem, Our open-format qualifying rounds let participants climb in a relaxed, supportive environment, similar to a (very busy) day at the wall. If you’re new to competitions, this is a great way to get involved without feeling intimidated.

Setting team

We’re showcasing exciting blocs on brand-new holds, all crafted by our world-class setting team, which this year includes an equal split of male and female setters. Their creativity and collaboration will ensure top-quality routes across all categories.

The Font boasts an elite route-setting team for Font Fest, crafting world-class boulders for all levels. Meet the setters:

  • Zoe Wood – Nationals setter & pro climber!
  • Alice Thompson – Head setter at Substation Macclesfield, slab master, all-around badass
  • Jake R Mason – Head setter at Hang & Yonder, Bouldering Bobat member, hold connoisseur
  • Ian Pollington – A master chef when it comes to cooking up blocs as well as gourmet meals! Join us on the 12th to have a taste
  • Matt VC – Font’s Head Setter, ex-Team GB, Ninja Warrior legend

We’re unbelievably psyched to have Evolv back as our headline sponsor for Font Fest this year.

Evolv have been in the game for years and sponsor famous climbers such as Daniel Woods, and Anna Hazlett! Their epic range of shoes are some of the best performing (and looking) shoes in the world.

We look forward to them bringing along their legendary energy to our largest annual community event!

We also are supported by these fantastic local independent brands, adding even more excitement to Font Fest this year:
